SAN FRANCISCO – Tuesday, March 11, 2014 — Edlin Gallagher Huie + Blum (“EGHB”), a firm that specializes in defending clients in complex litigation, is experiencing significant growth as evidenced by its recent hires. The firm has welcomed six associate attorneys and seven staff members during the past four months due to an increase in the number of new clients and new matters, especially in the areas of toxic tort and environmental litigation. The firm is also responding to an increase in asbestos filings in venues throughout California by expanding its Los Angeles office. New attorneys include: Page Perry, Andrea K. Kornblau, Jenn Noel Crittondon, and Myles Lanzone.

Andrea-K-Kornblau specializes in toxic tort and asbestos litigation, and environmental law in her role as an Associate attorney with the firm. Prior to joining EGHB as a paralegal in 2013, she clerked for the State of California Department of Justice, Office of the Attorney General in the Civil Law Division, Business and Tax Section. Andrea earned her J.D. from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in 2013. As a law student, Andrea earned a CALI Award for California Pre-Trial Preparation; a Jefferson Medal for California Pre-Trial Preparation; and a Witkin Award of Excellence for Advanced Mediation, Negotiation and Theory, and California Pre-Trial Preparation. She was also a Superior Court Mediator, and a member of the Environmental Law Society, and Public Interest Law Foundation. In 2005, she was awarded a B.A. in international relations from the University of San Diego.

Sean Herman is an Associate attorney who represents clients engaged in complex environmental, land use, business litigation, and toxic tort matters, including claims related to asbestos exposure.  His practice focuses on counseling clients through hazardous site cost recovery litigation and site remediation processes under the CERCLA, RCRA, Clean Water Act, and other federal and state environmental statutes.  Sean’s litigation experience also includes client representation in class actions concerning toxic exposure, product liability, and water contamination.  Sean is admitted to the State Bars of California, New Jersey, New York and the District Court of New Jersey.  He earned his J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law in 2012 and graduated cum laude from Boston College in 2007 with a B.Sc. in finance and political science.
