A generation before Socrates uttered his first wise words, the philosopher Heraclitus penned a punch-packing proverb: The only constant in life is change. This ancient adage holds up well in modern times and carries special relevance as we announce our new firm name, Edlin Gallagher Huie + Blum.
After decades of dedicated service, equity partner Marte Bassi is transitioning into retirement. “Marte’s brilliant contributions as a mentor, trial lawyer, and law firm partner have been extraordinary,” said Managing Partner Noel Edlin. “I am fortunate to know him and thrilled he will keep sharing his intellectual gifts with us as of counsel to the firm.”
Michael E. Gallagher, a talented trial lawyer with 20+ years of experience defending clients against construction, environmental, and personal injury claims, was chosen to join Edlin, Fred M. Blum, and Jeremy D. Huie as a principal of the firm. “Whether he’s litigating or trying cases, or finding creative solutions to the toughest legal issues, Mike fights tirelessly for our clients every day,” stated Edlin. “He has clearly earned his place on the marquee.”
