Biography
Austine-Candice A. Waje is an associate who practices in the areas of general litigation, personal injury defense, and trucking and transportation. Austine came to EGHB from her previous firm where she began as a law clerk and became an associate involved in all stages of the litigation process including client intake, pleadings, discovery, and pre-trial preparation; and made court appearances to defend and argue motions on behalf of clients. She also served as a judicial extern to Commissioner Steff Padilla in Los Angeles Superior Court, Edmund D. Edelman Children’s Court. Other previous roles include a clerking position and working as a credit administration assistant at the Bank of Hope.
Austine earned her J.D. in May 2021 from Loyola Law School, where she held senior technical editor and staff positions with the Loyola of Los Angeles International and Comparative Law Review, served in the roles of internal vice president and secretary of the Asian Pacific American Law Student Association, and was involved with the Loyola Law School Project for the Innocent clinic. She earned her B.S. in business administration with a Certificate in Conflict Management in April 2017 from Pepperdine University. She was member of the Student Alumni Organization and spent a semester studying abroad in Florence, Italy.
