Biography
Lisa M. Stevenson is a partner with 18 years of experience defending clients against complex civil claims. Her practice at EGHB focuses on environmental, toxic tort, product liability, and trucking and transportation cases. She is skilled at defending her trucking and rideshare industry clients against the full range of transportation issues, including catastrophic personal injury claims, wrongful death claims, contribution and indemnity matters, FMSA and HMTA regulations, client hiring issues, and first-party and third-party claims for a leading rideshare company.
Lisa has played a critical role in several of the firm’s recent trial wins. Notably, she was on the Lasarte v. Catalina Cylinders trial team that won a defense verdict in a Los Angeles Superior Court jury trial. EGHB’s client, Catalina Cylinders’ President and CEO Rick Hill, said of Lisa and her colleagues: “They are brilliant trial lawyers who know how to defend clients against costly catastrophic injury claims. We would hire this dream team again in a heartbeat.”
Lisa earned her J.D. in 2003 from University of San Francisco School of Law, where she was a merit scholar and received a CALI Award for Excellence. She also served as a summer intern in the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office. She holds a B.A. in English from the University of Michigan.
