Biography
Jose “Shay” Reynoso is an associate specializing in personal injury defense with strengths that include leading teams, meeting tight deadlines, developing creative case strategies, writing persuasive legal briefs, and solving complex problems. Prior to joining EGHB, Shay worked as an associate with two other California civil litigation firms.
Shay obtained his J.D. in 2016 with a concentration in civil litigation and dispute resolution from UC Hastings College of the Law; where he transferred after completing his first year of law school at University of San Francisco and earning a CALI Award for Legal Research, Writing, and Analysis. He began building his legal resume with law clerk roles; as a student representative with the UC Hastings Civil Justice Clinic; and through law firm internships in Milan and San Francisco. Additionally, Shay has a background in the worker’s compensation, healthcare, and insurance industries from his experience appearing and negotiating on behalf of professionals in court hearings as a lien representative and working in the family business with parents who are qualified medical evaluators. Shay also holds a B.A. in economics from UC San Diego.
