Biography
Jennifer H. Rankin is an accomplished attorney with extensive experience in insurance defense, particularly in asbestos, toxic tort, and general liability litigation. Based in Southern California, she joins EGHB with a proven track record in managing all phases of litigation in both state and federal courts.
Jennifer spent a significant portion of her career at Walsworth LLP, where she advanced from Associate to Senior Associate and later to Coordinating Partner. In these roles, she was instrumental in the toxic tort, asbestos, and general liability practice groups, handling tasks from discovery and motion practice to deposition and court appearances. A key highlight from her early career includes serving as second-chair in a complex asbestos mesothelioma trial that concluded with a defense verdict for the client. Her experience also includes positions as an Associate at K&L Gates LLP, defending product liability (asbestos) and employment litigation matters, and as a Staff Attorney with Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP.
Jennifer earned her Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from Pepperdine University School of Law, serving as the Literary & Citation Editor of the Pepperdine Law Review. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, cum laude, from California State University, Sacramento.
