Biography
Fraser D. Muir is an associate who works on general litigation, product liability, and trucking and transportation matters. Prior to joining EGHB, Fraser was a staff attorney at the Public Law Center of Santa Ana where he focused primarily on immigration matters. Prior to that he worked at the LGBTQ Center of Orange County where he represented asylum-seekers before the Ninth Circuit and Immigration Court. He began building his legal resume as an extern for Federal District Judge Jon S. Tigar in the Northern District of California in San Francisco, and through internships at Herrero & Trenticosta, LLP (Center for Equal Justice) in New Orleans, LA; the Federal Public Defender’s office in the Northern District of California in Oakland; and the National Centre for Domestic Violence in London.
Fraser earned his Master of Laws degree (LL.M.) with a Certificate of Specialization in Public Interest & Social Justice from U.C. Berkeley, School of Law in May 2019. As a student he earned Pro Bono Honors with Highest Distinction, Best Overall Score in Fundamentals of U.S. Law, and Best Oral Presentation in Legal Research & Writing; and was a member of the Death Penalty Clinic. He also holds a Master of Laws degree from City, University of London, from which he graduated with honors in 2019. In 2015 Fraser earned his undergraduate degree in political science from U.C. Berkeley.
Fraser is licensed to practice law in California, eligible for admission in the District of Columbia, and admitted in England and Wales. Originally from the United Kingdom, he is a native English speaker who is fluent in German with some basic understanding of Spanish, Russian, and Modern Standard Arabic. Fraser’s personal interests include cooking, origami, cinema, and space exploration.
