Biography
Daniel McCoy is a Senior Counsel in EGHB’s San Francisco office, where he leverages his diverse legal experience to assist clients in navigating the complexities of civil litigation, administrative law, and regulatory compliance matters. His background includes representing clients in a range of insurance defense cases, including personal injury, premises liability, construction defect, and medical malpractice. Mr. McCoy is adept at managing all phases of litigation, from initial case assessment and strategy development to trial preparation and representation in court and arbitration proceedings.
In addition to his litigation experience, Mr. McCoy served as in-house counsel for a financial services company, where he honed his skills in regulatory compliance and risk management. He also gained valuable experience in administrative law, specializing in Cal/OSHA citation defense. His commitment to public service is evident in his past work as a Law Clerk for the Sonoma County Department of Child Support Services, where he assisted in family law matters related to child support establishment and enforcement.
A veteran of the U.S. Navy, Mr. McCoy brings a disciplined and focused approach to his legal practice. He is a graduate of Empire College School of Law, where he earned his Juris Doctor, cum laude, and Master of Legal Studies. He is admitted to practice in all California state and federal courts. Beyond his legal practice, Mr. McCoy is actively involved in his community, having served as President of the Board of Directors for the Petaluma Policing Foundation.
