Biography
André R. Hill is a partner with more than 28 years of experience practicing law. His practice is focused in the areas of construction defect, product liability defense, employment litigation, and toxic tort litigation. André handles all aspects of general civil litigation with particular expertise in insurance defense, defending and advising pest control operators, rental equipment disputes, construction defect litigation, and trucking injury and premises liability. He is actively involved in all phases of litigation, including responsibility for trials, binding and non-binding arbitrations, settlement negotiations, law and motion, and depositions.
André earned his J.D. from the UCLA School of Law, where he was a Moot Court Distinguished Advocate, and an Associate Editor for the UCLA Black Law Journal. He also holds a B.A. from California State University, East Bay, where he graduated cum laude in political science. André is a member of the Charles Houston Bar Association, the Association of Defense Counsel, the San Francisco Bar Association, and the Contra Costa County Bar Association. He is admitted to practice before all courts of the State of California, the United States District Court for the Northern and Central Districts of California, and the United States Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit.
During his personal time, André is active in his community while working with underprivileged youth, and enjoys running, listening to jazz, and coaching and playing basketball.
