Biography
Davit Avagyan is an associate who practices in the areas of general litigation, business litigation, product liability, and trucking and transportation. Davit comes to EGHB from his role as a post-bar clerk in the fraud and special prosecutions section of the California Department of Justice. Previous professional experience includes working as a judicial extern for the United States District Court for the Northern District of Indiana, as a certified law clerk in the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office, and as a litigation clerk with a law firm in Los Angeles. He also gained legal experience abroad through legal internships with Red Lion Chambers and with Laura Devine Solicitors in London, UK; and with the Human Rights Ombudsman of the Republic of Artsakh in Stepanakert. He was admitted to practice by the State Bar of California in 2021.
In May 2020 Davit earned his J.D. from the University of Notre Dame Law School, graduating cum laude. At Notre Dame Law School Davit was a staff editor of the Journal of International and Comparative Law; a member of the Notre Dame Vis Moot Team, founder and president of the Armenian Student Association of Notre Dame, and London liaison of the International Law Society. He received a B.A. in political science from UC Davis in 2016, with a minor in human rights. Davit is fluent in Armenian and has a working knowledge of Russian.
