Biography
Aletheia Preston is an associate who focuses her law practice in the areas of business litigation, general litigation, personal injury defense, and trucking and transportation. Before joining EGHB, Aletheia was a deputy district attorney with the San Mateo District Attorney’s Office. In that position, she argued cases on the preliminary hearing calendar in court and in the custodies and arraignment calendar, and wrote and filed a wide variety of motions pertaining to complex legal disputes. Prior to that she served the San Mateo D.A. as a post-bar law clerk, and as a certified law clerk. Her prior professional experience includes roles as an intellectual property extern with American Continental Group, a judicial law clerk for The Honorable Judge Iravani-Sani for the Santa Clara Superior Court, a tax appeals assistance representative for the San Francisco Tax Appeals Assistance Program, and a summer law clerk for the Santa Clara District Attorney’s Office.
In May 2022 Aletheia earned her J.D. along with an Intellectual Property Certificate from the University of San Francisco School of Law, where she served as the social chair of the Intellectual Property & Cyber Law Association; the social media chair of the Criminal Law Society; the director of events for the Business Law Association; and a representative for the Criminal Law Society, Women’s Law Association, and Business Law Association. She received her B.A. in political science in May 2018 from Lewis & Clark College.
